Frost Control -Using our Hueys and Jet Ranger we fly up and down the rows of almond trees at 22-26 knots varying our speed and altitude for the current condition. This allows the grower to take advantage of the warmer inverted air by circulating it from above the trees down into the orchard keeping the ground level air temperature above freezing therefore protecting the almonds in their vulnerable liquid stage.  One aircraft can protect 170 acres of almonds for one night.
